Your Agency Can Be Frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a scenario that hopeful adoptive couples face: Recently you went to the trouble of creating a new profile. Then your agency implemented a new policy that incorporates a different profile format. You are frustrated by the new procedure and don’t want your hard work and money to go out the window.
Parents, agencies don’t sit around dreaming of ways for you to spend more money. They made the change to help you. You chose them because you believed in them.  Ask plenty of questions about the new process with an open mind.  Educate yourself on why the changes were implemented and how they will benefit you.

Updating your Adoption Journal at www.parentfinder.com

Keely and I enjoy throwing a blanket out on the grass and sharing a picnic dinner.  Every weekend in the summer the symphony plays an outdoor concert.  We listen, eat, and dance under the summer sky.  It’s a kid friendly event.  What a great way to introduce children to a world of music and outdoor fun!
Do you have a weekend activity in the summer?  Write about it in your adoption journal located in your profile at www.parentfinder.com  Don’t forget to illustrate it with a photo!

Updating Your Adoption Journal - How did you Mother's Day?

How did you celebrate Mother’s Day?  What a great adoption journal post!  Describe your day, illustrate it with a photo.  Make wise use of your words, telling the story without being wordy.  Every time you add insight to who you are and how you see the world, you provide an opportunity for your message to be heard by a birth mom. It may be that nugget of your life that resonates with her.

Marking a difference with adoption agencies, makes a difference

"We have seen a very definite increase in birth mother calls, many of which have resulted in placements since CAIRS began our e Marketing campaign. Also a different demographic of birth mothers are contacting us-more educated, more middle class.  It has been very interesting to see it all play out. We're so thankful for your efforts!" – Laura, Adoptions by Shepherd Care

Is your Adoption Agency's Website Mobile Friendly?

Google has changed the way your agency is ranked during searches.  More weight is given to agencies who have a mobile friendly site.  Currently 65% of expectant Birth Moms navigate the web using a mobile device.  If your site isn't mobile friendly you’ll need to create a new site. Retrofitting your existing site isn't something that works.  Here is a free test from Google that lets you test check to see if it’s responsive.

Reach out to me if you’d like some help.  There is a strategy involved in laying out a successful adoption agency/law firm website.  Knowing the right strategy makes a huge difference in expectant birth mother contacts.

Why some Adoption Agencies are Expanding

It was great meeting with the Catholic Charities Parentfinder focus group yesterday.  The question that came up first, comes up often when speaking with agencies about the Parentfinder Profile Creation Process: Can you show us proof that Parentfinder works better that traditional profile outreach programs? The simple answer is: YES.
I can provide you with names and phone numbers of agencies who have added staff to accommodate the increase in expectant birth mother contacts.
How?  It’s a 4 step process
       1.  Your website should be mobile friendly & as responsive as the old yellow pages ad
             a. Clear calls to action
             b. Trusted information
             c. Availability of staff
             d. Easy to navigate
2Advertising that links expectant birth parents to a page set up for them
     3. Increase content to boost your organic SEO
            a. Consistent content updates
            b. Social media connections
            c.  Back links
      4.  Recognize that your Hopeful Adoptive Parent profiles are an extension of your
           agency
           a.Demand quality
           b.Diversify their outreach
c.Don’t expect Expectant Birth Parents to conform to your way of viewing profiles

Don't understand the terminology?  The clients we help didn’t either.  They are focused on adoption not web marketing.
They hired us to be their trusted partner and it paid off.  I look forward to our follow up conversation with Catholic Charities. We can do the same for you!
